Duties

• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote literacy and overall educational growth.
• Provide individualized support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.

Experience

• Proven experience in literacy education and lesson planning is essential.
• Background in working with children.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Classroom management

Qualifications

• Professional Teachers Certificate
• You must have a bachelors degree
• You must be able to pass a Level I and II background check
• Must have a Department of Children (DCF) 45 hours
• Must have CPR & first Aid Certification
