Business Operating Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Job Summary:
The primary role of Technician I is to perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct inspections, and perform repairs as directed with efficiency and accuracy per company standards along with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose and repair basic mechanical problems, that may include but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment with the guidance of senior technicians.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions with the guidance of senior technicians.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure it remains in rental ready condition.
- Daily inspection, greasing, checking fluid levels, etc.
- Safety Compliance
- Follow company safety and workplace policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.
- Completion of work orders, inventory counts, etc.
- Supplemental
- Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
- Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
- Meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements, including productivity, quality, and safety standards
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School
- Acceptable Driving Record
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and working collaboratively with a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to work in all forms of weather conditions.
