The Trades Helper position is an entry level position that will be used to assist teams upgrading electrical and technical security systems abroad. Work is performed under the continuous supervision of a supervisor or senior technician or electrician. The position requires the person to be able to obtain a secret (min) clearance and requires a basic understanding of construction and installation practices. Work experience should be min 6 months to 2 years, or can be replaced by having a vocational certificate or advanced high school diploma.

Additional roles and responsibilities are identified below:

• Trades Helper will be required to install various equipment and systems such as mounts, switches, and other peripheral devices.
• Trades Helper will need to be able to troubleshoot issues occurring on electrical and technical systems.
• Trades Helper will need to ensure the maintenance of all equipment as needed or directed.
• Trades Helper will need to be able to assist or facilitate wire staging and pulling.
• Trades Helper will be required to terminate and label circuits and also repair them when necessary.
• Trades Helper needs to fix the fuse, repair the fuse boxes or replace them if required.
• Must be able to read blueprints and/or design packages.
• Trades helper will need to learn and understand basic pipe bending.
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs at any given time.
• Must be able to clean debris or obtain tools/equipment when supporting technicians and electricians.
• Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in sometimes difficult environmental conditions such as hot and cold weather.
• Perform tasks requiring electronic or mechanical aptitude and use basic arithmetic computations as needed.
• Uses hand and power tools to assist team members performing maintenance, repairs or testing.
• Conduct inventory of equipment and materials.
• Trades Helper will be able to pack up materials and equipment.
• Trades Helper shall be licensed to operate a forklift.
• Trades Helper to be able to inspect materials for Quality Control/Quality Assurance per contract.

Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel up 50% domestically and/or worldwide.

Passport: Must have an active Passport.
