Job Description: The Safety and Training Manager will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and enforcing safety compliance for our commuter shuttle program. The Safety and Training Manager will strategically oversee all areas of safety and compliance with respect to FMVSS/DOT/OSHA/DPU/DOT regulations and prepare our workforce for our client’s needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee safety and compliance within the DOT regulations for our drivers. Conduct safety related audits to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations (per WeDriveU IIPP and client policies). Facilitate safety training and meetings to ensure staff are adequately trained and understand safety and security standards. Maintain reporting, documentation, and risk management tools for safety and compliance. Participate in DPU inspections. Enforce accountability with various drivers' behaviors monitoring tools. Additional duties and responsibilities may apply. Skills Required and Physical Demands: BA/BS Degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Psychology, Management, Liberal Studies, or other related degree/experience. 2+ years of Public Safety experience preferred. 3+ years of Supervisory experience preferred. Thorough knowledge and applicative experience with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA/CAL-OSHA rules/regulations and orders. Familiar with all applicable safety regulations from EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), National Incident Management System (NIMS), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Strong written and oral communication skills. Education and Qualifications: Hard Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Preferred Requirements: 2-4 years of relevant experience in transportation Public Safety and Supervisor experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Psychology, Management, Liberal Studies, or other related degree/experience.
