Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active IL RN license and strong drip titration and EKG interpretation skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is in an acute care hospital Interventional Radiology (IR) department with six procedure labs
  • Patient population includes cases such as GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular interventions
  • Average daily caseload is 20-30 procedures
  • Intraprocedural patient ratio is 1:1, with a maximum of 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
  • Uses Epic for charting and Phillips monitors for patient care
  • Primary and secondary call required: 6-8 shifts within 6 weeks, including at least one weekend and holiday call with a 30-minute response time
  • Scheduled for four 9-hour day shifts per week, between 0630-1800; not self-scheduling
  • No floating requirements
  • Department closes for holidays; call may be required during holidays
  • Surgical scrubs are provided and required
  • Responsibilities include providing pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care in IR, interpreting EKGs, and managing infusions
  • Charge RN supports department but does not carry a patient assignment
  • Call response time is 30 minutes for both primary and secondary call
  • Orientation is provided specific to the IR department
  • Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles may be offered a local rate
  • COVID vaccination is not required for this role

  • Current IL RN license is required and must be active at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in an acute or procedural setting
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be current and active at time of consideration)
  • Proficient in EKG interpretation and IV drip titration
  • Experience with Epic EMR and Phillips monitoring equipment preferred
