Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: Work in a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit Care for neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patients Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran Work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation when scheduled 16 hours guaranteed (NBO) Navy blue scrubs required Must have 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital or medical center setting Neurology and orthopedic care experience required Trauma care experience highly preferred EPIC EMR experience required Must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 months Drip experience required: Heparin, PCA, 3% Sodium (no titration) Specialty equipment experience preferred: telemetry, chest tubes, airvo EKG/strip reading and telemetry experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC) NIHSS certification preferred (can be obtained during onboarding) Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with multiple campuses providing specialized care across various medical disciplines.
