Job Description:\nCollaborates with dosimetrist and radiation oncologist to develop radiation therapy treatment plans. Develops and monitors protocols and policies to ensure accurate patient dosimetry.\nPerforms and monitors imaging equipment testing and calibration. Develops and implements appropriate shielding designs, frequent\nsurveys, and routine exposure monitoring.\nMonitors appropriate use of radiation therapy treatment planning systems, including the characteristics of the dose optimization software, the\nprecision of generated patient and beam geometry, and the applicability of dose calculation algorithms to different clinical situations, including heterogeneity corrections.\nAdditional Job Description:\nBoard certified or board eligible as a Therapeutic Radiologic Physicist by The American Board of Radiology (ABR) or by The American\nBoard for Medical Physics (ABMP).\nOn Staff: There are three physicists, one is the chief and RSO. 4 dosimetrist, 1 is as needed. 2 oncologists. 10 therapists and 3 nurses.\nEquipment:\nTwo 4.1 true beam, with 6dof couch, both held at srs and SABR tolerance.\nOnly one linac has Rt vision, and used for DIBH. Each linac has an average of 30patients. Annual patient load for both is about 800 pts a year.\nGamma med HDR, and only perform GYM procedures.\nA discovery CT with deviceless 4D.\nCancellation Policy:Up to 2 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks and up to 3 shifts for assignments 13 weeks or longer.\nCharting System:Allscripts - Psych uses Sunrise\nBSN Required:No\nLicense to Submit:No\nCare Setting:Acute\nDivision:Allied\nShift Notes:4x10 Days\nRequired Certifications:BLS
