Ultrasound Technologist at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under supervision to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The role requires specialized training in diagnostic ultrasound and certification within one year of hire. Description

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Supervisor, Manager or Director, perform ultrasound procedures to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease.

This position will require someone to work on-call as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Course study in diagnostic ultrasound, or equivalent education/ experience.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire, Or
  • National Registered Technologist - Sonography within 1 year of hire, Or
  • New Mexico Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program License upon hire - if practicing within this state.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 1 year experience as an Ultra sonographer.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
