Unpaid HR Internship

Johnstone Supply has an opening for a Human Resources intern at our Raleigh, North Carolina location.

What you'll do: The HR Intern will assist the HR Team with creating resources for management, projects/process improvements, employee documentation, and reporting. This role will provide valuable exposure and experience within HR. Additionally, the intern will assist the HR team in day-to-day activities.

As an intern: You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the HR world with real-life initiatives and resume boosting experience by working on tasks and projects that directly impact the company at every level. Through your work as an HR Intern, you will contribute to the administrative processes that keep Johnstone Supply J-Team Group committed to servicing each customer and employee with integrity and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Create HR how-to guides for future use
  • Support onboarding and off-boarding activities
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources team
  • Work with HR Manager on special projects as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Communicate with strong written and verbal skills
  • Able to collaborate on a team - interpersonal skills
  • Enrolled as a college student in an accredited program
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration
  • Bring practical HR experience or knowledge gained from college classes or previous employment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Utilize strong project management skills to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have availability to work up to 25 hours during the week
