The School of Human Services houses the Exercise Science program, which offers a B.S. in Exercise Science, an M.S. in Exercise and Sport Science, and an M.S. in Health and Wellness Management. Overview of Department/Program The Exercise Science program offers nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate tracks in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and kinesiology, and hosts a Bearcat Performance Lab for research and teaching. Essential Functions Teach a diverse set of undergraduate and graduate exercise science courses, including in‑person, online, and lab formats (expected teaching load is 12 credits per semester). Course topics may include exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and kinesiology. Assist with program growth and development, including community partnerships, programmatic assessments, mentoring graduate assistants, providing professional development opportunities, and aiding student recruitment and retention. Serve on Program, School, College and University committees (search committees, scholarship review, reappointment, promotion, and tenure review). Minimum Requirements Doctoral degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field. Experience teaching at least one undergraduate or graduate exercise science course (online or in‑person; instructor‑of‑record or teaching assistant experience acceptable). Required Education Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in a field appropriate to the position.
