Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Biller to join our revenue cycle management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process for medical and mental health services, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology, billing systems, and coding standards, including ICD-10 and DRG methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify patient information and medical records to ensure accuracy in billing.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Utilize medical coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Maintain organized records of all billing activities and documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Experience

• Proven experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical records management and terminology is essential.
• Knowledge of DRG systems and ICD-10 coding is highly desirable.
• Experience with medical office operations and procedures will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are required.
• Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial.
