CHIEF ENGINEER
Our client, a highly respected Precast Concrete Manufacturer, is looking for an Chief Engineer to join their dynamic team. If you have experience in mentoring others, leading and developing a team, and are looking for a new challenge this opportunity could be for you.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee each phase of the engineering projects so group meets company specifications and standards and complies with federal and state regulations
* Determines and facilitates the goals of the group
* Identifies and procures the resources needed in house, or with outside consulting firms to complete projects
* Devises plans for each phase of the group's projects
* Recruits engineering and drafting staff
* Mentors, supervises, and recruits drafting staff
* Performs quality control checks, ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and reliability of the products
* Evaluates costs within a specific time frame
* Supervises the installation of equipment and software
* Collaborates with group member to generate ideas and clarify specifications
* Delegates tasks as necessary to the engineering group
* Oversees the development of engineering and drafting processes, standards, and tools/programs
* Oversees and maintains the company's certificates of authorization authority as the licensed managing agent as required by state statutes
* Resolves disputes between group members
* Communicates and collaborates with production personnel to resolve product discrepancies and questions
* Coordinates monthly project billing with accounting staff members and monitors monthly operating finances of the group
* Any other duties that may be assigned
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
* Good organizational and leadership skills
* Good verbal and written skills
* Computer literacy Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and other Precast/Prestress Design software
* Ability to maintain a good attitude under stressful and changing conditions. Good organizational skills
* Good organizational skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
* Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri, or able to obtain through the process of reciprocity.
* 5 years minimum precast concrete experience
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
