At Moore Concrete , we’ve been pouring, shaping, and finishing concrete in the Adirondacks since 1988. Whether it’s a stamped patio, a pool deck, or a strong foundation, we take pride in doing quality work that lasts. Our crew is hardworking, reliable, and takes a lot of pride in turning plain concrete into something that looks great and stands the test of time.
What You’ll Do
As a Concrete Finisher with Moore Concrete, you’ll help bring our projects to life by giving each job its final look and strength. Day to day, you’ll:
Smooth and level freshly poured concrete using floats, trowels, and other finishing tools.
Add different finishes—broom, smooth, or decorative stamps like wood plank, stone, or slate patterns.
Create clean edges and strong surfaces that look good and hold up over time.
Make sure surfaces are pitched properly for drainage and durability.
Work with the crew on pours, including projects that use pump trucks or trailer pumps.
Help keep the jobsite clean, safe, and organized.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with hands-on finishing skills, a good eye for detail, and a strong work ethic. Here’s what helps:
Some experience as a Concrete Finisher (or in concrete/flatwork construction).
Comfortable using finishing tools and techniques like floating, edging, troweling, or stamping.
Able to read the concrete—knowing the right timing for finishing stages.
Strong and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
Reliable, safety-minded, and ready to work as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license is a plus.
Extra Skills (Not Required, But Great to Have!)
OSHA 10 Certification
CPR/First Aid Certification
Training in decorative stamping or specialty finishing
Experience with ICF systems or board-formed walls
