Qualifications:

• Qualifications: You will need to have a Master's Degree in Special Education with the LBS1 certification
• School setting experience is preferred. 
• 2 reference checks

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.



Job Details:

• Schedule:  This classroom is for Multi-needs students. There will be an SLP, OT, PT, Paraprofessional and nurse in the room as additional support needed. 
• Dates:  July 31st, 2025 - end of school year in May, 2026
• Hours:  8:25am - 3:35pm; M-F with a 30 minute duty free lunch; They will have 3 days/month with an earlier start time for staff and team meetings. 
• Setting:  Elementary school
• Caseload: 6-10 students in one classroom
• In-person only 

Key Responsibilities:

• Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
• Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
