Role: Estimator – Structural & Ornamental Steel Fabrication

Location: Dallas, TX

Salary: Up to $95,000/year

We are working with a client that’s looking to hire an experienced Estimator to support their growing pipeline of multi-family and commercial steel fabrication projects in the Dallas area. If you have a strong background in structural and miscellaneous steel — including stairs, railings, framing, fencing, and decking — and know how to price work with precision, this is a great opportunity.

Their facility supports a wide range of projects, from ground-up commercial builds to urban multi-family conversions and retail developments. You’d be joining a high-performing team delivering quality work across the region.

What You’ll Do:

• Estimate structural and miscellaneous steel packages for multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial projects.
• Perform accurate take-offs from architectural and structural plans (stairs, railings, fencing, platforms, canopies, framing, etc.).
• Prepare bid proposals and budgets, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and track market pricing.
• Work closely with project managers and shop teams to align bids with execution plans.
• Ensure timely and competitive bids while maintaining high accuracy and clarity.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience estimating structural/miscellaneous steel for commercial and/or multi-family construction projects.
• Excellent blueprint reading and quantity take-off skills.
• Solid understanding of shop fabrication, field erection, and steel detailing.
• Proficiency in estimating tools/software (Bluebeam, Excel, or similar).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
