Experienced General Dentist

East Cress Dental Care, a brand new state of the art dental office, opening in August 2025 , located in Lakewood Ranch, FL is looking for an Experienced General Dentist to join our team.

About East Cress Dental Care

East Cress Dental Care, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. With support of a practice manager and a highly trained team on site, coupled with a vast network of experts across the nation, you’ll be completely connected to all the resources and support of Heartland Dental.

• Full time - 4 days a week with extended hours and 1 Saturday a month

You’ll need to have

• DDS/DMD degree, active and unrestricted license in state of Florida
• 3 years of experience as a dentist in a dental office
• Clinical knowledge to practice comprehensive dentistry, including diagnosis and treatment of oral health issues
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients
• Ability to become credentialed with dental insurance plans
• The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.
  

It’s a plus if you have

• Experience opening a new dental office
• Exceptional leadership qualities as a dentist
• Clinical experience placing implants and endodontics to include molars

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
