Job Title: Legal Assistant – Legal Production, Pre- Judgment

Job Summary:

The Legal Production department is responsible for the preparation of legal documents for all states. This role involves interaction with court personnel and clerk’s offices, validating and documenting court orders, assisting creditors on recovering money to satisfy judgments, and preparing legal documents such as wage and bank garnishments.

Essential Duties:

· Daily use of Microsoft Excel to manage and input data

· Navigate docket websites to review court information

· Internally prepare legal documents required for the pre judgment legal process across all states

· Follow department procedures and maintain an understanding of pre-judgment processes to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and client standards

· Communicate with managers, team members, and court offices to problem solve and engage with the team

· Work efficiently to meet production numbers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

· Complete assigned tasks within the timelines required by client and department standards

Education and Experience:

· Entry level, 1-2 years’ experience in an data entry role preferred

· College degree is a plus

· Prior experience in legal field (legal assistant, paralegal) is beneficial

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Confident in Microsoft Excel basic skills and Microsoft Office

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong oral and written communication

· Detail oriented

· Critical thinker with a willingness to learn new things

· Ability to work with and learn computer systems

· Self-Starter
