W2 JOB NUMBER: 36334150 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:10+ years of experience as a Linux system administrator Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and newer Familiarity with shell scripting, cron Familiarity with SSH, including SFTP, tunneling, public/private keys Skills:Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and newer Education:Bachelor's degree preferred JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform a migration/upgrade of a RHEL 7 data intake server to RHEL 8/9 Communicate and coordinate with IT and end-user personnel Investigate and document all current functions performed on the server Devise and produce a testing/validation procedure to ensure all functionality and data are preserved following the migration/upgrade Devise a detailed plan for migration/upgrade which prevents data loss as remote systems transfer files regularly to the server Execute the migration/upgrade plan and validation procedure Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities * While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
