Key Responsibilities

· Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

· Develop and optimize semantic models within Power BI using best practices (star schema, hierarchies, relationships).

· Use DAX to implement business logic and custom KPIs within reports.

· Transform and shape data using Power Query (M) within Power BI Desktop.

· Manage datasets, configure scheduled refreshes, and deploy reports to Power BI Service and monitor for data integrity and performance.

· Manage access permissions, workspace roles, and sharing settings to ensure secure report delivery.

· Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain the integrity of BI systems, and provide technical guidance to users.

· Maintain and improve existing reports and dashboards to adapt to changing business needs. Identify opportunities to improve existing BI systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

· Create clear documentation for models, measures, and workspace/report organization to ensure clarity and continuity.

· Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of hands-on experience building reports and semantic models in Power BI.

· Solid experience with DAX, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service.

· Experience with Power Query (M) for basic data transformation and shaping.

· Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and report performance optimization.

· Solid grasp of data modeling concepts and designing semantic models (e.g., relationships, hierarchies, star schema).

· Experience managing datasets, permissions, and publishing reports in Power BI workspaces.

· Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of visual presentation and usability.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
