POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-focused Reservationist to become a valuable member of our team!

This role is crucial in guaranteeing every guest enjoys the best possible stay while helping us to maintain our top-notch service standards. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, you’ll handle all guest communications and interactions, coordinate with vendors, and manage our scheduling.

Day in the Life:

Each day will be different, but typically, you will review the day's upcoming reservations and update guest information. As a friendly customer service representative, you will connect with guests to confirm their bookings and answer inquiries via phone, email, and other online platforms. You’ll also coordinate with vendors to confirm scheduled services and maintain detailed records of reservations and guest requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all guest calls, emails, and texts are answered promptly and professionally. 
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by working closely with the property manager, housekeeping, maintenance teams, and third-party vendors to address guests' concerns and keep operations running smoothly. 
  • Ensure follow-ups are performed on any guest concerns or issues, and find ways to provide internal feedback and suggestions to help improve the company's performance.
  • Coordinate the return of "Lost and Found" items with the housekeeping team
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and courteous attitude with all guests, owners, and co-workers
  • Perform other duties as necessary or requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in reservations is preferred (happy to train the right candidate); familiarity with online travel agency sites such as Airbnb and VRBO is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area will be very helpful. 
  • Self-starter with initiative, including the ability to anticipate guest or operational needs with a consistently warm and friendly attitude.
  • Must be dependable and punctual, with a trustworthy and reliable character at all times.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Able to handle stress in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, exercise sound judgment, and maintain strong attention to detail.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $8 - $10 / hour

Benefits: 

  • Paid time off, such as PTO, sick days, and vacation days

Schedule: 5 days a week, with one weekend day required
