RF Engineer Job Number: 351484 Category: Design Engineering Description: Job Title: RF Engineer Location: Chelmsford, MA Zip Code: 01824 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: Up to $89.81/hr DoE Keywords: #RFengineer #DesignEngineeringJobs ***Active Secret Clearance is required*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. * Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. * Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. * Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. * Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. * Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. * Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). * Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. * Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * BS Degree required * Secret Clearance required to start * Minimum of 6-8 years of experience * Experience with RF test equipment and RF hardware verification * Experience with RF production support * RF Probe Station Experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in RF circuit design and RF PCB design up to 18 GHz * Experience in ADS or AWR Microwave Office * Experience in full-wave simulation/analysis (HFSS or CST) * Commercial RF design experience Benefits: * Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision / glasses / prescription contact lens and eye test options available. * On the job training / cross-training to develop and expand skills, creating opportunity for advancement and personal development.
