Job Summary:

Responsible for managing Work In Process (WIP) production strategies for both internal and external work centers and resources. Coordinate gathering all bill of material (BOM) items specific to each individual Manufacturing Order and put the items together in assembly kits for downstream operations. Closely manage business partnerships with outside labor services for success, communicating strategies, production plans, expectations, and shortfall. Put plans in place to continuously improve partnerships and performance. Effectively communicate plans and utilize available resources and services intercompany. Monitor and manage inventory levels for BOM items, coordinating replenishment and system adjustments to min/multi, safety stock, and forecast as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reads and follows specific instructions, written in English.
• Reports production bottlenecks to leadership and/or solves them with creative thinking.
• Utilizes system tools to analyze workflow and report on issues and successes.
• Creates and maintains Statement of Work or related documentation to help communicate expectations for outside services.
• Locates and gathers Bill of Material (BOM) items and collects them into a kit. Provides key information to suppliers on how to process the kit into finished goods.
• Creates labels, coordinates subassembly items.
• Creates and maintains item locations for raw materials, WIP, and consumable supplies on the manufacturing floor.
• Requests materials and replenish floor stock. Suggests updates to inventory management strategy such as min/mult settings, safety stock settings, and forecast.
• Manages hologram cabinets and issues materials to floor as necessary.
• Utilizes WinCraft's software programs for data collection and accuracy as well as system moves and outsourcing.
• Completes activity-based cycle counting as needed.
• Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
• Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
• Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, plus 1 year of related vocational training and 1 year on the job training or equivalent.

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Close attention to detail
• Understand written English instruction
• Complete basic technology applications / basic computer aptitude including proficiency in data entry.
• Good hand dexterity
• Detailed knowledge of company products, manufacturing and art processes, and company office procedures.
• Ability to count accurately and perform simple math functions
• Ability to inspect materials and finished products for defects
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to continue education in production and inventory control areas.

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Continued:

• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with leadership, internal and external customers and co-workers.
• Aptitude to follow prescribed procedures and ability to make independent decisions.
• Must have the ability to interpret and respond to all forms of correspondence as it relates to or affects orders.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.
• Able to sit, stand or walk for entire shift
• Able to turn or bend
• Comfortable with frequent ladder use
• Able to grip/grasp continuously
• Able to push a cart occasionally

Working Conditions:

• Indoors, temperature-controlled environment
• May work in warm, humid environment
• May work around machinery with moving parts
• Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents
• Required to know & use PPE applicable to work-center guidelines which may include:
  • Eye protection
  • Heat resistant gloves

The compensation rate range for this position is $19 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
